API DeltaVision Deconvolution Microscope

This is the only microscope in Australia that can be used to image live cells infected with highly infectious human pathogens such as the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)

Features of this microscope are:

- Deconvolution software
- Widefield inverted microscope
- Motorized excitation and emission filter wheels
- Excitation with a mercury arc lamp
- Four channel fluorescence imaging
- Cascade 512 EMCCD and CoolSNAP CCD cameras
- Motorized XYZ stage suitable for ‘stitching’ as well as ‘mark and find’ experiments
- Three photo-ablation/activation lasers (410nm, 488nm and 532nm)
- 10x, 20x, 40x oil, 60x oil, 100x oil objectives
- Incubator (gas, temperature and humidity control) for live cell imaging
