Background
Skanda has a background in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with a subspecialisation in Maternal Fetal Medicine. He has undertaken a PhD on the topic of severe maternal morbidity in both well-resourced and resource limited settings.
Main research/clinical interests including perinatal and maternal morbidity reviews, intrapartum labour management, adhesive placental disorders and fetal cardiology.
Currently working on the GMP project and ACTION 3 trial as a part of the Global Women’s and Newborns’ Health group at the Burnet Institute.
