Background
Dr Rebecca Mathews is a public health registrar at Burnet Institute undertaking advanced training through the Australasian Faculty of Public Health Medicine (AFPHM). Prior to working at Burnet, Rebecca undertook public health registrar placements within Federal and Australia Capital Territory Departments of Health. Rebecca’s public health interests predate her medical degree having previously also worked in research and policy roles relating to alcohol and other drugs. Infectious diseases and alcohol and other drugs continue to be strong interests.
