Background
Ourania is a highly skilled direct marketing professional with 21 years of marketing experience, specialising in fundraising, campaign management, and retention and growth strategy. Ourania has worked at a diverse range of health, international development and pharmaceutical organisations including WWF-Australia, Oxfam, Fight Parkinson's, Australian Red Cross, CBM Australia, World Vision, Abbot Pharmaceuticals and PVT Roche.
With 11 years of fundraising experience, Ourania joined the Burnet Institute in 2022 as the Donor Direct Marketing Manager in the Philanthropy and Supporter Engagement team, and is passionate about developing exceptional donor experiences and communications. Ourania’s role is accountable for leading the Direct Marketing team, developing and implementing multi-channel and donor-driven direct marketing programs to acquire, retain, engage, and upgrade supporters in order to raise philanthropic funds, and grow the supporter pipeline for major philanthropic giving and bequests.
Working in numerous positions across a number of renowned organisations, Ourania has specialised more recently as a short-term contractor in roles supporting under-resourced charities that have demanded fast campaign turnarounds, end-to-end project management, and various leadership roles.
