Naomi Spotswood
Background

Naomi is a neonatologist and clinician researcher who is strongly committed to improving healthcare for newborns and their families. She is part of several clinical practice improvement networks and facilitates Evidence-based Practice for Improving Quality (EPIQ) workshops.  

Naomi’s research focuses on understanding and improving the diagnostic process for neonatal infections. Beyond her PhD program, she has contributed to wider initiatives for improving sepsis care, including the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care’s Sepsis Clinical Care Standard, and NEST360/UNICEF’s online Implementation Toolkit for small and sick newborn care.
