Background
Lachlan is a current medical student at Monash University, who has taken a year off his MD program to complete an honours project at the Burnet Institute. Having being involved with various global health clubs and societies at Monash University, he has developed a particular interest in both women's and global health. With this in mind, Lachlan joined the Global Women's and Newborn's Health team to complete a qualitative analysis on improving the quality of maternal and newborn care in Papua New Guinea.
Lachlan hopes to be able to utilise the skills and knowledge gained in his research year once he graduates and begins working as a clinical doctor, with potential for future involvement in research and global health initiatives.
