Jonathan Salazar
Background

Jonathan is an honours student pursuing his research passion in bioinformatics and 'omics' analysis at Burnet Institute. He works closely with Dr Mark Ziemann in bioinformatics.

Jonathan's current honours project focuses on a critical evaluation of single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) enrichment analysis reliability. This project has the potential to significantly improve understanding of single-cell biology and ensure the robustness of biomedical research, ultimately contributing to improved health outcomes worldwide.

Jonathan previously completed his Bachelor of Biomedical Science (2023) from Deakin University, majoring in Molecular Life Sciences.
