Midwifery Specialist
Background

Erin is a midwife with a master’s in public health. She joined Burnet Institute to work in the Pacific Island region to strengthen midwifery education.

Before joining Burnet, Erin worked as a midwife specialist and later became the first midwife advisor for Education for the International Confederations of Midwives, where she led the development of midwifery education tools and midwifery strengthening programs.

Erin has strong expertise in designing, implementing, and evaluating midwifery initiatives and training programs. She takes a collaborative approach to her work and is passionate about inclusive approaches. She also has a strong track record of facilitating diverse stakeholder meetings at both the local and global levels to increase the effectiveness of advocacy and design.

Erin’s clinical midwifery is rooted in community birth in the US as well as in multiple global settings.
