In January 2024, Andreas joined the Vector Borne Disease and Tropical Public Health Working Group as a postdoctoral research fellow, focusing on data modelling using aggregated data.
Andreas is an infectious diseases physician with a passion for malaria research. His doctoral thesis, titled 'Malaria in Travellers and Migrants,' focused on imported malaria in Sweden. Specifically, it assessed disease severity, relapse infections in Plasmodium vivax and P. ovale, and asymptomatic infections in migrants from Sub-Saharan Africa residing in Sweden.
