Alina Muellenmeister

Mathematical Modeller
Background

Alina completed a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Major in Medicine in 2020 and a Master of Science in Mathematics with a Major in Medicine, specialising in biostatistics, in 2021, both at RWTH Aachen University, Germany. Her master’s research was centred on the impact of allocation bias in group sequential clinical trial designs. 

After her Masters, Alina went on to work at JASCO Applied Sciences as a Project Scientist, where she modelled acoustic exposures to marine mammals using agent-based models. 

Currently, Alina is a Modeller in the Modelling and Biostatistics team working on the “COVASIM: Modelling COVID-19” project as well as other infectious diseases modelling in various countries.
