Document summary

We aimed to understand the mental health and well-being needs of the South Sudanese community in southeast Melbourne after COVID-19.

We worked with a community project officer. They helped plan and run the project and engage with the community.

We had two group discussions with 26 young people who shared their community mental health needs. Ten of these young people attended two co-design workshops to design a future program to meet those needs. We included in this report the final suggested program with detailed activities.

We completed this project with our partners Centre for Multicultural Youth (CMY) and Monash ActionLab (MAL).
