Many women of childbearing years are infected with this virus and are at risk of transmitting it to their offspring. Despite this, there are many unanswered questions about hepatitis C and pregnancy including who to screen, the risk factors associated with infection, how these women should be managed during pregnancy and the options available to them after delivery.
