The purpose of this work is to ensure targeted countries are able to measure and report on key sexual and reproductive health (SRH), reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health (RMNCAH), and gender-based violence (GBV) indicators for the purpose of tracking progress against the transformative agenda as well as national, regional and global commitments.
The project involves a gap analysis of the health management information system (HMIS) in each country to assess the extent to which it is able to meet data requirements, including a review of current data collection instruments, data flow, compilation forms and analysis. We will work with stakeholders in each country to prepare recommendations for strengthening the HMIS, adapt tools in line with recommendations and build the capacity of key personnel to use new tools and current data.
