The World Health Organization’s (WHO) Department of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Research maintains a portfolio of over 400 recommendations related to the care of pregnant, childbearing and postpartum women and newborns globally.
Burnet Institute researchers are leading knowledge synthesis and guideline development activities in high-priority areas (such as prevention and treatment of postpartum haemorrhage, peripartum infections and others) to ensure WHO’s guidelines are up-to-date.
