TB-MAC Multi-modelling Exercise

TB-MAC is an international consortium of modellers, coordinated through the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

The consortium is currently undertaking a multi-modelling exercise, in which modelling groups from across the world contribute data from their individual models to address a single question.

The question being considered in this exercise is whether the post-2015 Millennium Development Goals for TB are achievable with currently available tools if they were to be scaled up in an ambitious but feasible manner.

This question will be modelled in three countries critical to global TB control efforts, namely India, China and South Africa, using the six currently available interventions that could best be expected to result in improvements in TB control.

The TB modelling group at Burnet Institute are currently working on contributing data from their model on all three countries, with results expected in the coming months.
