The focus is to understand the negative consequences of malaria and how they can be prevented malaria in children and pregnant women.
This will assist with the understanding of how malaria interacts with other health problems, such as anaemia and other infections, to worsen health outcomes in children and pregnant women. Papua New Guinea is the main focus of these studies.
