Jenny completed her Bachelor of science, majoring in microbiology and immunology in 2004 before completing her honours year through the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute in 2005. Following this she worked as a dialysis technician before returning to research to study equine herpes viruses at the Department of Veterinary Science.
In 2014 Jenny became the laboratory manager at a specialist science education centre (GTAC) where she worked until joining the Burnet.
In 2016 Jenny began a Masters of Epidemiology at the University of Melbourne. During this degree she conducted research relating to the epidemiology of gonorrhoea among gay and bisexual men.
Jenny has a particular interest in infectious diseases.
