Gianna Robbers

International Health Project Officer/ Research Assistant

Background

  • Gianna has completed her Master of Public Health at the University of Melbourne in 2017.

  • Her particular interest lies within qualitative & intervention research and the promotion of sexual, reproductive, maternal and child health of vulnerable populations.

  • She has previously been involved in various research projects addressing the protection needs of female, child refugees and asylum seekers. Including a comprehensive situation assessment at the WHO Regional Office for Europe and evaluated the EU’s response to the protection needs of female refugees during the European migration crisis (2015-2016).

  • She joined the Burnet Institute in 2018 as an International Health Project Officer/Research Assistant at the Maternal and Child Health/ Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Program. Her work focuses on the protection and promotion of maternal and neonatal health in Papua New Guinea.
