Doctor Maria del Mar Quiroga

Research Officer, Public Health


Mar joined the Burnet in 2018 to work on HIV and TB application studies within the Optima Consortium for Decision Science, and then moved over to the Alcohol and Other Drugs group to analyse data on people who inject drugs.

Mar has a PhD in computational neuroscience from Rutgers University in the US and a BA/Master’s in mathematics from National University of Cordoba in her country of origin - Argentina. Before coming to the Burnet, Mar delved into education and public outreach at Monash University and at the ARC Centre of Excellence for Integrative Brain Function.
