The Centre for Global Health and Equity at the School of Health Sciences are launching an Australian-first research study of the experiences of people living in social housing and other high-density residential settings during the COVID-19 pandemic. 865 people participated in this study.

Victoria’s Community health providers, Connect Health & Community, Star Health, Merri Health, Peninsula Health and Bendigo Community Health Services partnered with Swinburne University of Technology to undertake this research into the lived experiences of individuals, families and communities, to inform service provision, communication, and engagement during the pandemic.

Connect Health & Community are hosting this launch. Engage with the study leader, Dr Shandell Elmer and Professor Richard Osborne, Director Centre for Global Health and Equity, on the relevance of this research and recommendations that can be applied more broadly, to improve health literacy and equity of residents of social housing.
