Research for Development Impact Conference

The 2021 RDI Conference - Pathways through Disruptions and the future of sustainable development and recovery in the Pacific and Southeast Asia – tickets are now available. This is a flagship event for the international aid and development sector so don’t miss out!

This year, we are proudly sponsoring the conference and are happy to announce the program is now out. Hear from keynotes speakers such as Mr Peter Varghese AO on sustainable development, Linh Do on climate justice, Sopheap Ros on grassroots solutions in Cambodia with women and children, and Dr Cameron Hill on re-framing development as a national interest. The block of sessions on Education and Youth will be opened by The Honourable Julia Gillard AC.

The 2021 RDI Conference will be two full days of research and initiatives from 1-2 July 2021, preceded by a Student Forum on 31 June 2021, all delivered online. In fact, there will also be a pre-conference Series featuring posters, videos, and live webinars across over 30 innovative topics.

Mirroring our own organisational values, UQ and the RDI Network are committed to delivering an accessible and inclusive event. Some of the accommodations include using Whova as the conference platform as it is screen-reader accessible, and accessible to those with low bandwidth connections. The program, by design, also includes text-based networking events and concurrent sessions to enable those with low bandwidth connections and/or unstable connections to join live (no video streaming required).

Book your tickets here and visit the website to learn more.

Burnet is a Bronze Sponsor of this year’s event.
