Burnet Institute’s TB Working Group is running an MDR-TB Workshop in collaboration with the TB-CRE, and a high-level round table meeting on Tuesday 18 June as part of Global Health Security 2019.
All GHS delegates are welcome to attend the workshop. It is being hosted at Sydney University, ABS Case Study Lecture Theatre 2150. Click here for more information.
This is the first international conference on global health security.
In the wake of the 2014 West African Ebola outbreak, the international spread of Zika, the ongoing transmission of antimicrobial resistance, and the ever-present threat of another influenza pandemic, global health security has taken on a new level of importance.
The conference brings together practitioners, researchers, educators, representatives and decision-makers across the fields of public health, medicine, veterinary science, agriculture, government, defence, international relations, sociology and anthropology to examine the progress in strengthening health systems and identify the gaps and opportunities for enhancing the international community’s ability to respond more efficiently and effectively to future adverse health crises.
Find out more from the official conference website.
