The Governor of Victoria, the Hon. Linda Dessau AC, and Mr Anthony Howard QC invite members of the public to attend a free public lecture at Government House, Melbourne.
Burnet’s Professor Caroline Homer AO will join other leading global health experts working in Victoria, including Professor Alan Lopez AC and Professor Sharon Lewin to discuss the contributions being made by scientists across the state to some of the most pressing issues in global health, including maternal and child health, HIV and the global burden of disease.
Burnet CEO Professor Brendan Crabb AC will facilitate a panel discussion with the speakers. Refreshments will be served following official proceedings.
Attendance is free, however registration is essential as seating is limited. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER. Dress is smart casual or business attire.
Attendees are asked to bring a form of photo identification, and will be required to undergo security screening on arrival at Government House.
There is no parking on site for this event. Gates open at 5.00 pm. Please be seated by 5.45 pm.
