Host country, South Africa has made progress in reducing new HIV infections in young people and reducing mortality due to AIDS by providing antiretroviral therapy (ART) to more than 2.4 million people.

The AIDS 2016 program will present new scientific knowledge and offer many opportunities for dialogue on the major issues facing the global response to HIV.
