Australasian HIV & AIDS Conference

Burnet’s leading HIV researchers will take part in The Australasian HIV & AIDS Conference, the annual conference run by the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine (ASHM).

The annual conference is a platform for the dissemination and presentation of new and innovative research findings across the Australasian HIV sector.

The themes of this year’s conference include:

  • Understanding and identifying HIV: Basic Science, Biology and Pathogenesis
  • Managing HIV: Clinical management and the lived experience of HIV
  • Preventing HIV: Epidemiology, Prevention, Behavioral Prevention and Biomedical Prevention in Australia and the region
  • HIV in populations
  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Populations Health

ASHM is a peak organisation of health professionals in Australia and New Zealand who work in HIV, viral hepatitis and sexually transmissible infections (STIs).
