    Public Health

Our researchers conduct high-quality, policy-relevant and innovative research to address major public health problems.

Burnet's research expertise has led to policy change and innovation to address major public health problems.

The cross-cutting Discipline - Public Health - is a community of practice that supports our public health researchers with common skills and needs, and develops greater technical depth and expertise across the Institute.

Heading the Public Health Discipline is Associate Professor Mark Stoové, who is also a Co-Head of Burnet’s Eliminate HIV sub-program.

Burnet’s public health researchers aim to improve the health of the community, both regionally and globally, by conducting high-quality, policy-relevant and innovative research to address major public health problems linked to infectious diseases, drug use and related behaviours.
